May long Weekend

It was a ton of fun to visit family quick while
the kids were out of school!

May is pretty tricky where grandma and grandpa live,
it can be sunny and springtime or a snowy playround!!

Either way my kiddo's love playing outside at grandmas!

The kids enjoyed the playgound on an overcast day,
Grandma was sure worried about how high
I was encouraging them to climb!

Before we went to visit my Grandmother in hospice
we drove out to the community pasture to pick wildflowers.

 The girls loved chasing butterfly's,
listening to frogs croak, crickets chirp,
and watch the birds swoop low
over the pond.

Grandpa had a great time helping them find
all kinds of flowers,

avalanche lilies,

 buttercups,

black eyed Susans,

shooting stars,

and even wild daisies!
.

They also loved clowning around in the back
of Grandpa's truck, eating Cheetos!

Grandpa's Truck was Sooooo Fun!

On the way home we stopped in the Crowsness Pass
to let the kids stretch and Shane could bike around a bit!

The big kids went up the side of a mountain with dad and
the Littles stayed at the playground with me!

Always so fun!

October Vacation Pt. 1

Ok So remember in July how we crammed
a bunch of stuff into one trip . . .
here we go again.

Ha Ha!

So we took the girls out of school for a week.
( I know we're horrible parents but it was worth it!)
We took them to visit family, watch conference,
visit the dentist, go visit an amazing woman in Idaho,
and land back in Cardston for Thanksgiving day.
(now you understand why this trip is broken up into parts!)

This was an amazing trip!

Not without its little scuffles, after all ten days away from home
is a ton when you are just 6, 4, 2, and 7 months,
oh and its not so easy for the adults either!

But we packed up and headed south!

First stop Conference and Early Thanksgiving in Raymond.

Which of course means we hung out with Grandma Cathy
and helped her with her garden, and Grandma Margaret
to pick some pumpkins from the patch.

Nothing better than fresh Carrots
covered with good nutritious dirt!

After all the family shenanigans were over,
we spent a day in Waterton!

We love this place, the girls went up Bears Hump with Shane . . .

Mr T and I took my mom with us on a walk to
throw rocks in the lake and then to the park!
I think she really enjoyed some time to just play with Mr. T.
(the girls very much monopolize her time!)

After the hike the girls joined us at the park.

Then it was home to Grandmas.

What a fun sunny time!

We love visiting the parks in the off/shoulder season.

Stay tuned for part 2!
Friends and more!
