Sledding for fresh air!

After our big trip the kids were happy to stay home
for a few days and just relax!

An amazing friend callled one morning,
when I was dreading cleaning and
suggested we go sledding!

Woot Woot was I all over that!
I'll take sledding over toilet scrubbing any day!

We had a great time, and the kids got their energy spent.

This girl decided the only way to go down the
sled hill was on her rear end!

Boxing Day Road Trip!!

One thing we are super grateful for is adventurous kids!!

Every year Shane likes to do something awesome for the kids.
This year he decided he wanted to take them to Emerald Lake.

This was an amazing adventure.

First thing in the morning we decided to try out a Christmas gift!
Hahaha, my husband try's so hard!

Good thing we were all starving and weren't worried
about breakfast being beautiful!!

One of the fun things about this trip is that Grandma Cathy
decided she wanted to drive her car as well.

Which meant we got to shuffle the kids around the cars.
(Especially since Mr. T is FINALLY a booster dude!)

We brought the two way radio's as well
and the Girls ADORED them!

First stop was Lake Louise, hop out for potty breaks and a

short stroll around the ice sculptures.
It was frigid but we were super prepared!

Only draw back was our little queen ms. V decided she

didn't want to walk ANYWHERE!

Man that is Exhausting!!

Climbed back into warm cars for the last leg of the trip
just past Field to Emerald Lake.

It was AMAZING!

After a little gearing up, we were ready!

There was NO wind and the sun was shining
on most of the ski trail!

Ms. E got tired and a little bored a little earlier than we thought.
She also really wanted water, which was stuck in dad's backpack.
His hose was frozen at the tip so there was water,
but being patient for it to thaw wasn't really happening!

She and Grandma Decided to turn back and hang out
in the warm car with water and music.

Thank goodness for Grandmas!

Ms. A was Determined to follow the trail
all the way around the lake.

It was a LOT longer than she thought but she pushed through
and in the end was super proud of herself.

Shane and I enjoyed the faster pace that she was setting,
I was completely enjoying my new ski's and boots!
(My Christmas Present!)

Mr. T and Ms. V only had one mishap in the sled.
Mr. T decided he was bored and scooped up snow
from beside the trail and dumped it
 all down ms. V's Coat.

Seriously down her coat/sweater/shirt.
I probably would have found some in her pants!
(If I had checked!)

By the time we got back to the van she was asleep
and happy again, so I don't think there was much damage done!

After a little lunch and packing up we headed further
down the road to Golden.

We checked into a great Hotel The Days Inn.

We were Super happy with Everything there.
Suite we were in was just right for families!

Two rooms separate from the common room with
a queen bed in each, and a pullout couch!

Seriously everything was great!

Except the pull out couch which I slept on with ms. V.
(but hey it's a pull out!?)

The pool was also great!
The kids loved the water slide!!

After all our fun - Shane and I went to get the kids
some fast food and Grandma Stayed with them
and gave us a chance to go out to dinner just us!
WAHOOOOO!

We ate at The Wolf's Den, "Unrefined dining at it's finest!"
Super Yummy and amazing menu!

We were grateful for grandma giving us a night to just relax!

When we got back the kids were enjoying the t.v. and
relaxing, most of dinner was eaten, and they were glad
to get ready to snuggle into the big beds!

The next morning we enjoyed a big hot breakfast
and then we hit the road home!

We made a quick stop for Donuts! (thanks grandma!)
Everyone was Super Ready to be home and
sleep in their own beds!

Thanks Grandma Cathy for helping us have
such a wonderful trip!!

Christamas Day!

With Christmas Day falling on a Sunday we decided
we would only do Stockings before Church!

Its kinda strange we know - we have to wake
our kids up on Christmas morning!
Ms. V especially would sleep till 10 if we let her!

We enjoyed all their excitement and then
busied them getting ready for church.

After we got back the kids were super excited
for more presents, and some couldn't wait
to get back into pj's!

Remember all my posting about LESS Stuff!
I loved that these kids got things for one person this year!

Seriously So Sweet!
Ms E is sharing why she picked it just for Ms.A

The hit of the day was this amazing bouncy Dinosaur!
Everyone Loves this thing!!

Ms. V also got a great gift that everyone still loves to play with!
A singing bus with alphabet keys!

Dad got a scout blanket!!

I think Ms. A's favorite was still Lego!

Our Gift to the kids this year was Tickets To ZOO LIGHTS!
(accompanied by new mitts!)

They were all really excited!

Not long after all the presents were open Grandma Cathy Came!!!!

Haha Then Christmas REALLY Happened!

She brought presents from Grandpa Dwight, Auntie Deonie,
Auntie Diana and Uncle Riley, and even some fun extras!

Haha!
She even brought this girl Colored Hair spray!
(Obviously she was in Heaven!)

What an AMAZING DAY!

Haha we sent the kiddo's to bed on time again
because we were heading out the next day to
GOLDEN BC For Cross Country Skiing!
