A new project.

We had a fortunate experience of a home being cleared
out on our street and picked up a number of
furniture pieces to refinish.

I quickly claimed this one for Ms. A.  Her OWN desk.
It's not the best constructed thing but I was determined
to refinish it before we needed to move.

I was also determined that she would put in
a but load of work herself.
Take ownership of this project and
feel like it was really hers!

I was grateful for a couple of things with this project.

#1 shane taught Ms. A and Me how to use the air compressor.
so . . . . much . . . sawdust.

The other kids got excited about our projects too.

It took a ton of work to finish it up but we persevered.
The final reveal will be in August!!

News Again.

So we have some BIG family news.

We are MOVING!! AGAIN!

Shane's boss is such a wonderful person to
give us options that,
although they may be hard,
benefit us ultimately as well as the business.

So There's a lack of work in Edmonton right now,
and she spoke to us in February about the
possibility of our family moving back to Calgary
and for Shane to be part of the Calgary team.

We spoke favorably about it,
then there was a world wide pandemic,
school was cancelled,
Shane worked from home,
we officially decided to home school,
Shane went back to work,
and then she circled back to there being
more opportunities for work in
Calgary in the near future.

We we waiting for a while for
everything to be official.

Here we are again, moving.

I confess that I am secretly hoping to move outside the city,
as the Calgary team all work from home,
now Shane will be as well.

There are some options like Airdre, Okotoks,
Chestermere, and Cochrane.

The only problem is Small town rent is usually a lot more.
We'll see what is even available right now.

Updates will come soon.

Summer Trip Part 2

We went on a walk the next day to meet friends
but it didn't really work out for the best.

We miss them but we lived.

On to a week in Raymond!

First up friends next door let us splash in
the pool with them!

Jump on their trampoline. . .

And have a grand time enjoying the sun!

The kids chalked up grandma's carport very quickly!

And we played at the park for a while too.

Later in the evening we went for a bike ride with grandma.

And the next day Ms. A got a crash course in mowing grandmas lawn!

She Loved it!!

Back to the park we go another day!

Shane had taken the big girls bridge jumping into the canal.

We played some more with the pool.

The next day we went on a hike.

Ms. C was super excited to get to ride
in Grandmas car!

Someone else was excited too!

These sillies rode with us!

We enjoyed observing some new flowers along the trail.

And some old favorites! Like Indian Paintbrush.

we were waiting for a little on our group so we did a
little exploring at the trailhead and a lot of playing
in the water before we got started!

Finally hitting the trail!

Stopping for treats!

More Beautiful flowers!

Yes that's me trying to decide what I'm looking at?

I'm not the only one who was captivated by the flowers!

Finally at the waterfall!

Lunch Time!

Heading Back down the trail!

Finally back at the trail head!

That night Ms. A and I cruzed around Lethbridge while Shane went Biking!
(thank grandma for watching a movie with the littles!)

When we got home Ms. A realized that she had left
these two special items at the trail head.
So the next morning Shane and I drove back to
the trailhead and thankfully found it!

The rest of Sunday was filled with cousins and Birthday Party!

See how happy she is about her dinosaur cake!

Great job Auntie Diana!!!

Aunt Deonie Brought her unicorn collection
for the kids to split up and share!
What a sweet auntie!!

 She was definitely partied out!

The next day we visited Grandma Margret's to get some fresh air!

The next morning the kids were definitely
ready for their own beds!

A long two weeks was finished.
So much love,
So much fun,
So much family.

Thanks Everyone!!
