October Vacation Pt. 3

So one of the things that was on our list to do
before we left for Idaho was a dentist visit!
These girls were such Stars!
They loved every minute, and we're very brave!

I on the other hand was very nervous and anxious.
(I put on a brave face for the kids but I
knew it was not going to be a nice visit!)

Look at these girls with their Dazzling Smiles!

Then we hit the road for Idaho!

We needed to visit Roberta, Shane's Second mom.
Her husband had passed away a year ago and
we had not been able to visit.

This was something we definitely felt like we needed to do!

Because we left a little later than we thought we drove
quite a bit of the way in the dark.

This Mom was on it though!!

These imaginative kids had a great time with their glow sticks!

(They were trying to spell "boo")

Then when they woke up they saw this!
(Yes its a train!)

Mr. T was in Heaven!!

OK so ALL the kids were in heaven!

Such a fantastic place to just let them be kids!

Oh and Inside . . .
there's an unfinished basement with
6 ride on toys!
What lucky kids!

When Shane was a Missionary he would always
change this letter board at the house,
We let Ms. A write a poem and left it for Roberta to enjoy!
(she loved it!)

We watched loads of cartoons

and Ms. A had a grand time Building pillow forts!

Ms. V Also loved her forts.

Ms. V and Roberta bonded instantly,
there were cuddles and giggles and

Roberta had long conversations with
her about meeting Jan in Heaven.
(I was bawling my eyes out!)

The last day Shane took the girls for a quad ride
and explored down by the river.

Sunrise was amazing!

We even got a date night to Sharky Hot Springs.
We watched a meteor shower, and enjoyed the quiet.

We had a great time and are so greatful
for such wonderful friends.

We came back for Thanksgiving Sunday in Cardston.

The Kids loved performing for Grandma and Aunties, and
this baby loved Grandma Websters low windows!

Monday we definitely needed to be home!!

The Kids Slept Amazingly Well and we were
all very glad to be home!

October Vacation Pt. 2

So after all the family fun over the extended weekend
we visited some friends while we were in town.

Seriously These two ladies are amazing and
I totally love them both!

First, I have an amazing friend/inherited cousin that told me
that she was pregnant a couple of weeks before our vacation
and she needed some serious love and encouragement!

So Ms. A and I put together an awesome care package for her.
(well I think its awesome anyway!)

The pregnancy was still very new and all hush hush!
But we LOVE LOVE LOVE Lindsay,
so we went all out for her!

Here's what was in the box!
(trust me it was a giant box!)

#1 Food!

#2 Comfort Items
Those pink things are lotion infused socks,
and amazingly soft!

#3 The Kid Distraction Bag!

This baby is going to be number three,
and her oldest will be three by the time baby arrives.
So She needed a bag full of nonsense for her kids.
for those times when you just need a little distraction!

Confession Time!
Truthfully I definitely needed a reason to sew this baby!
I had been trying to find a reason to for months and just hadn't yet.
This was a perfectly awesome reason!

We laughed together about these little details.
(Thyme is a maternity brand)

And behold the distractions!

Cars, dress-up, animals, fishing games and
Rainbow Goldfish!!

(I knew this would definitely keep my kids busy!)

After an amazing visit with Lindsay we rushed to the
other side of town to meet my friend Sara!

This woman is so humble and amazing,
we are ALWAYS pregnant at the same time!

Hahahahaha!

She is one of the best people I know and
I'm so glad that every once in a while we
get together for Timbits with the kids!!

Ha ha like every 2 years, we're sooo bad at timing but life
sometimes works out for us to have a little face to face
once in a while.

Stay tuned for Part 3.
The girls have their first dentist visits and
We finally leave for Idaho!

October Vacation Pt. 1

Ok So remember in July how we crammed
a bunch of stuff into one trip . . .
here we go again.

Ha Ha!

So we took the girls out of school for a week.
( I know we're horrible parents but it was worth it!)
We took them to visit family, watch conference,
visit the dentist, go visit an amazing woman in Idaho,
and land back in Cardston for Thanksgiving day.
(now you understand why this trip is broken up into parts!)

This was an amazing trip!

Not without its little scuffles, after all ten days away from home
is a ton when you are just 6, 4, 2, and 7 months,
oh and its not so easy for the adults either!

But we packed up and headed south!

First stop Conference and Early Thanksgiving in Raymond.

Which of course means we hung out with Grandma Cathy
and helped her with her garden, and Grandma Margaret
to pick some pumpkins from the patch.

Nothing better than fresh Carrots
covered with good nutritious dirt!

After all the family shenanigans were over,
we spent a day in Waterton!

We love this place, the girls went up Bears Hump with Shane . . .

Mr T and I took my mom with us on a walk to
throw rocks in the lake and then to the park!
I think she really enjoyed some time to just play with Mr. T.
(the girls very much monopolize her time!)

After the hike the girls joined us at the park.

Then it was home to Grandmas.

What a fun sunny time!

We love visiting the parks in the off/shoulder season.

Stay tuned for part 2!
Friends and more!
