Little Road Trip

Because of all the changes in having people in our home.
We suddenly had to meet Grandma and Grandpa Webster
and Aunties at the Aldersyde parking lot
to exchange Christmas gifts etc.

So we took a bit of a drive.

On the way there we passed this rock formation
 just before Okotoks.

That's something we'll stop at on the way home.
Man are we glad that we did!!

We learned about where the rock was presumed to be from,
And even read the Blackfoot story about where it was from.
(I love when social studies and science collide!)

But it didn't take long for out kids to itch to climb it.

Grandma had just brought us
carmel popcorn twists and mint popcorn.
Ms. C was just fine to sit with me and gorge on treats!
Hahaha.

After our climbing we had a picnic by the parking lot.

The kids loved watching a super cute white
long tailed weasel jump from hole to hole.

Asking questions, watching it's movements,
laughing at its noises.

Look at us having educational outings on a Saturday!

Thanksgiving!

 Happy Thanksgiving!

We had an elongated thanksgiving which we loved.

First Grandma and Grandpa Webster Came to visit.

We took them on a nice walk to
enjoy the wonderful weather!

Played some Frisbee golf,

Played in the leafs,

Stopped at every playground we could find.

And enjoyed the sunshine.

It has become a tradition for our family to
 hike thanksgiving monday.

Probably because of all the eating
we do on Sunday.

Grandma Cathy came on Monday for our hike.

This poor girl was struggling with her boots.
Shane was good to carry for for a lot more
of the way than usual!

We stopped at the lookout to enjoy the view.

We also stopped on the way down to watch
this chipmunk destroy a pinecone.

Bye friend.

We were feeling very thankful by the end of the weekend.

Our grateful tree had flourished with the help of all our visitors.
