 Walking group on Tuesdays takes us a bit farther from Cochrane.  

I love it!  

Real trails here we come.

I confess it was a lot warmer in Cochrane.  

Some of us were seriously underprepared!

Fast friends were made.  

We love all our outdoor friends!

I'm a witch! (insert witchy cackle!)

The group was big and we had such a great time 
circling the lake and enjoying 
meeting new people.

Spring Break Part 1

So for actual spring break I had a ton of table time activities planned.  

It was still a stressful week as I had no idea if school 

was going to be back in after it was all over. 

Here's what we had for the week.  

Monday = Science Day 

#1 Snow Volcano!

 

#2 Exploding plastic bags!

#3 Slime!

 

The kids watch some You Tube channels right now 

where there is a lot of slime making going on! 

So I decided to make my own

 The Wheel of Slime!

Some of my ingredients worked 

much better than others. 

Tuesday = Baking Day

#1 Monkey Bread

 

#2 Apple Pear Crumble

Which was primarily made by Mr. T as he had 

missed most of the monkey business.

#3 Cookie Dough

So I confess I made cookie dough with Ms. C and we didn't

even bake it.  We just prepped it for the freezer.

(Frozen cookie dough is always a good idea!)

Canmore Skiing Trip (Part 1)

For Christmas Grandma Cathy gave our family an experience!

She helped us pay for a day of cross country skiing

at the Canmore Nordic Center.

We had a fantastic long weekend and 

did way more than just ski.

We headed out after work on Wednesday.

We stayed at Basecamp Resorts in Canmore.

They also have resorts in Revelstoke, and Golden!

 

The Canadiana theme throughout the lodge was fun.

 This girl was SUPER tired by the time we arrived.

Here's a sneak peak at the disaster our van 

became during the dark car ride.

Makes me tired just looking at it.  

End Day One.

Day Two!!!

After a super relaxing morning including cartoons we

headed to Banff to be touristy.

 

These two goofy chums spent the whole ride 

talking about farts and butts. 

They were pretty good at including Ms. V.

So much fun with all the shop mascots.

Then it was lunchtime!

 Time to eat candy.

 Yummy buns.

And play with toys.

Shane took Ms. V and Ms. A out to skate 

on the town square rink.

 

It was a great day and the ice was 

sooooooo smooooooth!

 

True to form when Ms. V got tired she just wanted 

to climb and dig in the snow piles. 

All the tired feet.

 

Almost done.

 

After skating we headed up the mountain 

to the hot springs!

That will be part of post #2!
