walking group

Walking group this week was pretty fun,
we found some structures in the trees to investigate
and the kids played among us in real life.
(basically a murder mystery game.)

It was a little strange for me as Ms. C and
Ms. V were with Shane skating.

Definitely not as busy as keeping track of the littles.

walking group

We had a particularly awesome walking group this week.

We investigated a vacated wasps nest, berries,
grass, and even a salt lick.

Oh and there were plenty of snacks shared.

We also looked at a dead bee, a lady bug,
and a grasshopper.

october walking group

Walking group this week we played at
Jumping Pound creek.

Which is pretty close to our house.

We have been having such gorgeous weather.
Things just begged to be splashed.

We stayed most of the afternoon.
It was so great!

September Walking Group

Walking group is so fun.
We investigated lots of plants and exercised
our brains as well as our bodies.

It was so fun that when we were done
we stayed to chat for over an hour.

These girls were making big plans.
Cake Plans!!

middle lake trail

Walking group on Tuesdays takes us a bit farther from Cochrane.

I love it!

Real trails here we come.

I confess it was a lot warmer in Cochrane.
Some of us were seriously underprepared!

Fast friends were made.
We love all our outdoor friends!

I'm a witch! (insert witchy cackle!)

The group was big and we had such a great time
circling the lake and enjoying
meeting new people.

One new favorite thing!

One of our favorite things here is a
homeschool nature walk group.

We joined a group that journeys outside
every Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
Right here in Cochrane.

Our first couple of walks were so much fun.
We've already made some good friends.

There is lots of investigating going on.

The big kids venture further on their own into the
trees and find new discoveries.

Everyone is so kind to share tools.
Helping our little thinkers explore.

I'll be posting lots and lots about our outings.
