First day of Homeschool!

Here we go on a wild ride into home school!
Things look a lot different than they did in the fall.
I'm sure glad for that!

First up Exercise!

Read aloud and fiddles.

Then on to starting real school!

Even Ms. V loves being on the same schedule as the big kids!

Ms. A's favorite thing is her own space
at her finished desk!!

Sharing the Technology in the house is still
a bit crazy, we're working on it.

I'll be posting more as things progress.

For now the kids are loving
their new learning.

School Still At Home

So we're doing our best to finish the school year just like everyone else.

Here's a glimpse into our may experience of school at home.

My supervisors chair I keep occupied most of the morning

until kids are all finished thier school assignments.

They have been champs trying to share Technology.

Ms. E has been Learning to cook and setting some goals to for

her youth program to grow her cooking skills.

Meatballs, Rice and Steamed Broccoli.

Food is so much better when I don't have to cook it!

Cookies are fast becoming one of her favorite things to make as well!

By the end of the month we made a decision as a family
that we were not returning to public school in the fall.

Therefore the end of the school year seemed to loose it's luster.

Extended summer vacation was our plan instead.

Ms. A turns 8!

Well as life would have it - I spent a lot of time and energy
getting myself all caught up only to
Immediately Fall Behind!

Life Happens and Technology is not always our friend.

Ms. A turned 8 and she had an amazing birthday week!
We had an 8 shaped cake on her actual birthday and
later that night she went to "8 is Great!"
(a night all about baptism, which is coming up next!)

But before we could get any photo's off Shane's phone
it needed to be serviced and as luck would have it
we lost everything about her actual birthday party.

Like I said Sometimes Technology is really not our friend.

Thank goodness I splurged and had a mini shoot for her
in anticipation of her birthday/baptism.

Thanks a Hundred Billion Times over to Taryn Whitton
for coming over in the snow to snap these
amazing shots at such short notice!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

ok so I know some of you are already
thinking about valentines day.

Don't you worry I have another
14 days of valentines
this year and I'm excited!!

Down to Business.

Some of you Know that Christmas
Is like a month of Party at our house!!

Usually around Christmas Time I spend some time
working out Advent so that it is full of
activities and games and food and fun.

This year we decided to use Advent as a tool
to center our Christmas more on Christ.

So at the first of the month we started following
this schedule to read a story from
the life of the savior every day leading up to Christmas.

The girls loved it.
I made an Advent tree to hang on the wall
and every night the girls pinned an ornament on it.

It was a great way to relax before bedtime every night
and reconnect as a family during this super busy season!

Of course our Month was not without a TON of FUN!!

Phase 1 - Our Tree Cutting Expedition!
We definitely enjoyed our trip to the tree farm.

The girls loved tromping through the mud
to find the perfect three.

Here is is!!

Making mudpies at a safe distance
while dad cuts the tree.

Enjoying some festive music at the barn
while dad was loading the tree.

All Loaded and ready to go!

Mr. T and the girls loved playing with the
tie down straps all the way home.

Phase 2 - Hudson Party!

What a Poser she is!!

Bonding with Uncle Darryl over Stickers.

Phase 3 - Christmas Eve!!

We had a super yummy supper and everyone got dressed up!

After that we opened pj's, had tubs and then
watched some Christmas Stars on Ice
and cuddled on the couch in Christmas PJ's.

It was Lovely!

Phase 4 - Christmas Day

Everyone Loved their Christmas Presents!

Thank goodness for Technology so we
could Skype with family!

Ms. E's favorite music box from cousin Z!

Ms A's Huge Art Kit from Cousin L,
and hat from Grandma Cathy!

Mr. T mostly loved ripping the paper

We were very spoiled and happy to be together for Christmas.
Hope you enjoyed all your holidays too!!
Next up is our Hudson Top Ten.
