Grandma Visit

Grandma Cathy Came for the day to play at Tanner Camp with us.

But first a fire!

We were happy grandma thought it was such a fun place.

There was plenty of time for heart to hearts.

Aaaand the wind was high enough to
blow over our shade as well.

After the beach we went to check out the new human fuse ball court.

Much later we took grandma on a walk to stretch out
and visited a favorite park.

We're sure glad Grandma Loves to be outside with us!

My Birthday

 Happy Birthday to me!

OK I admit that I don't really like my own birthday,
although I do love spoiling other people on theirs!

I usually ask for something awesome
like a nap or a nice walk for my birthday.
(or for someone to come do my dishes!)

Ms. E tried to make me a cake.
She had really big plans.

Look out here I come to blow out candles.

We went for a family walk that afternoon and then
let the kids binge some technology.

Later on that week we had more cake delivered as a surprise!
It was so beautiful and yummy!

And shortly after that my birthday books came.
I was one happy lady!

Muddy Adventures

Sometimes we get in over our heads and no matter what happens
we feel the urge to trudge forward.

This time it was definitely not the
best decision we ever made.

Shane had been biking and was on a crusade
to show the kids some sweet spots he had found,
but all he led us through was a ton of MUD!

My kids are amazing, and I love my husband.

This day was the biggest test of my patients with him.

They were all so muddy by the end that I made them
strip down and ride home naked leaving all
the dirty clothes in the very back of the van.

Shane apologized a ton and helped with the clean up,
and the kids thought it was the funniest thing ever
riding home in just their underwear.

I confess I joined some of the laughter, eventually.
