Grandma Hudson's Funeral

Funeral's are such interesting things for me.

Ok I know that sounds morbid, but let me explain.
I believe that after we die our spirit or essence
continues to live.

So a huge event with a body on display that
no longer holds that spirit.
It just seems funny and a little backwards to me.

I definitely believe that grieving family need an
outlet to share stories and come together to reminisce.
This is an important part of their closure.

I also believe that Grandma Hudson's Spirit
was watching over us at her funeral.
I'm sure she was laughing with us
and calling some of us silly

I loved this woman, and she was a great example to me.
There was no one quite like Grandma Hudson!

This woman loved to give, and give, and give.

July 1st

Canada Day weekend was full of emotions.
We actually were planning on staying home and
enjoying some festivities here instead of heading south.

Remember my Amazing friend that was pregnant in may,
She had her baby in June.

She called to let us know that they were planning on
blessing this handsome man on the 3rd of July.

(seriously this lady makes Gorgeous kids!)

She also suggested we reconsider traveling as
Shanes Grandma was NOT doing well.

Canada day was one of her favorite times
to have family around.
So we packed up the camping gear
and headed south.

The weekend was full of family, parades, pancakes,
marshmallow roasting and fun.

We were really glad that we visited as about
four days later she passed away.

We are really Grateful for wonderful friends who know
when its important to reach out!!
