Deceber cross country skiing

Skiing in December was a little cold and a lot fun!

The kids favorite part is always treats when we're done.

We love our outdoor family!

August Road Trip Day 12

Well all our grand plans about leaving were
thwarted by the weather.

Rain all night Monday and most of Tuesday
meant taking down and rolling up tents
would just have to wait.

But the kids loved running around the yard in the downpour.

Then cuddling together in the basement after to get warm.

Someone decided that rainy days are for cookies,
and so the mixing began.

Grandma spent some quiet time with Ms. C
while the kitchen was so occupied.

These two had such a grand time, rain or shine.

We had a good enough patch of sun to dry
everything out enough to pack up.

Sleeping together in grandma's basement.

Our trip home was pretty great with the exception
of plowing out a trailer tire.

We were almost home.  Around Panoka.
Always a learning experience.

We left the trailer by the side of the road and got some
lunch in Panoka to calm down a little.

Shane called a friend to help him get everything
arranged and all was well.

A bang to finish off a huge road trip!

August Camping

We Found a Gem of a Campground for our August family Adventure.

Tolman Bridge Campground.

Super Quiet during the week, although the staff said
it gets pretty hopping on the weekends.

In a steep valley of rock formations!
HooDoos!

We definitely headed out to explore quickly!

The kids would have stayed out till after dark.

But there had already been a few spills.

The Sunset was beautiful though.
I'm glad we stayed out for it.

I think Ms. C was just happy to get some fresh air!

My kids were brave, and fearless,
and looked after each other!

It was sooo cool to have it right next to the campground!

As with all our camping trips there was plenty of food.

Hot chocolate with giant marshmallows,
there was a fire ban so we couldn't roast them.

Dad Still rigged up the BBQ for roasting in the end,
and no fire didn't stop the kids from eating the cookies!

Especially this chicky poo!

Snuggling in for the night!

Clearly Ms. C wasn't ready for bed yet!

Early the next morning I got myself up
and watched the sun crest.

It was nice to have a quiet peaceful 15 minutes.

When I got back I found this.
(That's my sleeping bag!)

Still too early for some.

Ms.C decided my sleeping bag was the place to be as well!

For about 5 seconds.

Outdoor breakfast was next!

Thank Goodness for sisters
who love to take care of me!

We're starving!

Soccer was super fun around the campsite.

Back to the HooDoos after breakfast!

There were berries all over the bushes,
which brought a ton of birds around!

Back at camp after a day of activities at the Museum!
(another post soon!)

I'm HUNGRY!

Working on starting supper.

Forget Supper!
Cookies!

After supper snuggles and cookies.

It took us quite a while to find this guy.
He was loud and super annoying.
But he is a woodpecker after all!

Packing up after the last night of camping
and exploring and fun!!

Shane's Trailer Sure was Helpful!
