The Dress! (es)

ok so I got brave and decided to sew ms. v's blessing dress,

FROM THE TRAIN OF MY WEDDING GOWN!

ok breathe I promise it all worked out and we had a wonderful day.

Here are some pics of my process!

Taking the train pleats out.

One happy ms. V

Of course the girls just had to try on my dress while it was out.

When the dress was done I made a rash decision
to make the girls each a dress.
(not from my wedding dress though!)

It stressed me out beyond what I thought it would
but they love them!

General Conference 2015

Well this was an emotional weekend due to recent work developments.
(next post!)

Therefore General Conference activities were not new.

We have a couple of traditions that we are keeping strong.

#1 General Conference Match

Pretty much each Prophet or Apostle is on this chart.
When a new speaker comes the kids get to match his face card to the chart.

#2 General Conference Snack Bar

One snack for each speaker as well.

These kiddies loved my choices this year.

Due to the pins and needles nature we only really tried to sit together
as a family for 1 session on Saturday.
But we had a great time at Grandma Margarets
Sunday Morning and Grandma Cathy's Sunday afternoon.

Easter Time

Easter was a TON of fun this year!
I'll let the pictures show you just how much.

 Dying Easter Eggs

Rice crispy treats for the neighbors!

Um Have I said before that Mr. T is slightly obsessed with Rice Crispy's?
(even without the marshmallow goodness!)

Hunting for eggs at grandma Cathy's - In the SNOW!

Ok so this dude likes his chocolate a LOT!

Ok So I had to post this last one - I promise not to rant but seriously!

We were a little preoccupied during Easter truthfully,
all that info coming up!

Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump trip!

Fabulous ms. O came to visit and we had a grand time.
She is SOOOOOOO 16 hahahah!
(can you tell I'm not the mother?)

We enjoyed taking her to Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump
along with Grandma Cathy's Sister Daisy
and Great Grandma Stieger.

I remember going to this historic site when I was in Elementary School.
I remember it being a SNOOZE FEST.
This was So Much Better Now!!

Here's Some Pics of our Adventure.

At the top!

Listening to a movie about Napi (the creator)

Sitting in a tipi.

Buffalo Puzzle that ms. O rocked!

Watching the buffalo jump film.

Ms. A using a microscope to look at artifacts.
(her companion Pokadot goes everywhere with us!)

Kiddies eating lunch in the car to get out of the wind.

We had a great time and it wasn't even a special event day,
with drumming or demonstrations or even a guided tour.

There was so much more to be offered!

That was ok with us though,
it was fun to just be together as a family.
