Christmas Dresses

I try an have Christmas dresses done for the first Sunday of December
but things in November went haywire, and so instead
here we are one week late.

I confess his is small.
Not sure what happened.

This cuties dress still needs a hem and a zipper.
She wanted to wear it anyway, who am I to say no?

This one was a favorite.
I adored the lace on the bodice.

This was a harder one.
She's growing up and grown up styles
are just a bit harder to master.

We also had some fun putting Christmas
window clings up!

More about where these came from later!!

December Christmas Dresses

So the same day we decorated the tree was
Christmas Dress Sunday.

This year I struggled a lot with the big girls dresses.

Mostly because they are growing up and there is a
need to create something a little more Tween Styled.

But they love me either way.

I'm a lucky mom.

Sometimes they love each other too.
Cuties.

christmas dresses

The Day has Arrived!
One of my favorite days of December,

Christmas Dress Sunday!

Oh my gosh!

Anybody have this weird thing where they see something
in their head and then they magically sew it?

This has never ever happened to me before
this years Christmas dresses.

Seriously it all started with this Dress!

This overlay I used as a shawl for a fancy
Christmas Party I hosted in University.

I love this girl in it!
Silver and blue it is!

Next up was a super favorite!

I just LOVE this colour on this girl!

After her baptism dress I decided
simple was probably best!

Then Mr. T was Super Excited for a fancy vest.

Handsome man!

Then this dress.

It confronted all my sewing insecurities.

Stretch Velvet?
What was I thinking?

But I smashed this puppy right out of the park!

And the sweetest little dress I've ever sewn!
(Seriously I loved it the whole time.)

All these beautiful creations reminded me,
I'm Pretty Talented and I should just act like it!

christmas dresses!

These dresses were a ton of fun!!
(thanks auntie Deanna for all the fabric!)

I seriously stress about them every year and
in the end they always look so nice!

Poor Mr. T gets the creative shaft.
I bought him a sweater.
hahaha

Christmas Dresses

This year I had a grand time designing and sewing
Christmas dresses for these girls.

I enjoyed my learning curve too as I tried to choose
something that each of them would enjoy
instead of something identical!!

So much more fun for me and for them!!

Mr. T even got to choose his own color.
I wasn't surprised!
His whole life is green!

December is FULL of Christmas!

December is usually a great month at our house
full of traditions and excitement,
but this year
Christmas Literally Lasted the
whole month of December.

We started the month with a tree hunting party hosted
by the Youth of our Ward.

There was sledding, hot chocolate, bonfires, hotdogs,
marshmallows, and the kids were having so much fun!!

They didn't even want to go with Shane to get the tree.
Too much fun was happening!

The First Sunday in December I FORCE my children
to wear their new Chirstmas dresses.

I Loved sewing these dresses!
Thank's Auntie Deanna for the wonderful Fabric!!
I always feel bad for Mr. T so I made him a tie this year.

Then I visited my mom and she surprised me by
announcing that they were waiting for us to get all the
Christmas decorations out.

My kids loved spending time with aunties singing funny
Christmas songs and decorating the tree.

Ms. V was very curious and excited about everything.

Closer to Christmas we had a HUGE baking day!

My kids love this tradition,
we were sad to miss the fun of being at
Grandma Cathy's for gingerbread men or at
Grandma Websters to Ice Mounds of sugar cookies!!

We also had a visit from my mom and sister,
who brought us all some wonderful surprises!

New Christmas PJ's and Necklases for the girls!

Mr. T was bombarded with fun McQueen Race Car gifts.
Everyone loved taking turns being pushed by grandma in the big box!!

Shane's mom also came and brought a Huge Box
of gifts from everyone!!
We felt so blessed!

The week before Christmas our ward also had our
Annual Christmas party.

It was lots of fun!!

And to think this was only the beginning!
