We broke the rules.
We gathered with friends for new years eve eve.
It was stinking AMAZING!

Ms. E immediately wanted to be a snow mermaid.
We experimented with different ways to melt snow.
Sat by the fire.
Climbed trees.
Sledding down the hill.
We couldn't clear the snow to skate,
there was a slushy layer underneath.
We made a Fox and Geese Path instead.
The kids had such a good time playing essentially tag.
By friends.
Even Giant chase had a good time.
In the end we decided it was important
to have all the husbands out for
new years day to the same place.
We shall see.
